It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Ansar said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Please divide our date orchards between us and our Muhajir brothers." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No." Then the Ansar said to the Muhajirin: "You help us with the work, and we will share the fruit with you." They said: "We accept this."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
In difficult circumstances, a Muslim should show sympathy to another Muslim and assist him so that he does not become despondent due to hardship. Similarly, a Muslim who is caught in difficulty should also strive and make effort himself and not become a burden on others. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) praised that tribe of the Ansar who, when food was scarce, would gather their food together and eat collectively.
