بَابُ مَا يَعْمَلُ الرَّجُلُ فِي بَيْتِهِChapter: What a Man Does in His House
Hadith 539
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا: مَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْمَلُ فِي بَيْتِهِ؟ قَالَتْ: يَخْصِفُ نَعْلَهُ، وَيَعْمَلُ مَا يَعْمَلُ الرَّجُلُ فِي بَيْتِهِ.
It is narrated from Urwah bin Zubair (may Allah have mercy on him) that I asked Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "What did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) do in his house?" She replied: "He used to mend his shoes and did every work that men do in their homes."
