It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him), who reports from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Allah the Exalted says: O son of Adam, when I take away your two beloved eyes and you remain patient over this affliction and hope for reward, then I am not pleased to give you any reward less than Paradise."

Benefits and Issues:
Both of these are Qudsi hadiths in which Allah, the Exalted, has stated that the servant who does not complain or express grievance upon losing his eyesight, Allah, the Exalted, will admit him directly into Paradise without first entering him into Hell. It should be noted that this patience is required at the onset of the calamity; later on, patience naturally follows.
