حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ حَرْمَلَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْقُرَشِيِّ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ، إِذَا دَخَلَ عَلَى مَرِيضٍ ، يَسْأَلُهُ : كَيْفَ هُوَ ؟ فَإِذَا قَامَ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ ، قَالَ : خَارَ اللَّهُ لَكَ ، وَلَمْ يَزِدْهُ عَلَيْهِ .
It is narrated from Nafi' (may Allah have mercy on him) that whenever Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) visited a sick person, he would ask: How is he? And when he would leave from there, he would say: May Allah grant you goodness. He would not say anything more than this.
