It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "When any believing man or woman, or likewise any Muslim man or woman, is afflicted with any illness, Allah Almighty certainly reduces his or her sins through it."

Benefits and Issues:
Apparently, these hadiths do not seem to have any direct connection with the chapter. According to our understanding, when, during hardship and illness, there is even greater favor in that sins are forgiven and reward and recompense are also granted, even though the servant is not performing his usual acts, then the original reward would, all the more so, be granted. And Allah knows best.
