Hadith 503

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that no illness is more beloved to me than fever, because it enters every joint of the body, and Allah Almighty grants reward to every limb for its share.

Benefits and Issues:
The meaning of the statement of Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu is that indeed, there is reward for every illness, but it is according to the extent of the hardship. Fever affects the entire body, therefore the whole body becomes deserving of reward. In this way, every single limb becomes deserving of reward.
