حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شُبْرُمَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، مَنْ أَبَرُّ؟ قَالَ: ”أُمَّكَ“، قَالَ: ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ: ”أُمَّكَ“، قَالَ: ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ: ”أُمَّكَ“، قَالَ: ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ: ”أَبَاكَ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: O Messenger of Allah! With whom should I show good conduct? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Your mother.” (The questioner) said: Then with whom should I show good conduct? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Your mother.” He said: Then with whom should I show good conduct? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Your mother.” He said: Then with whom should I show good conduct? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Your father.”
