بَابُ الْعِيَادَةِ جَوْفَ اللَّيْلِChapter: Visiting the Sick at Night
Hadith 497
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : ”إِذَا اشْتَكَى الْمُؤْمِنُ ، أَخْلَصَهُ اللَّهُ كَمَا يُخَلِّصُ الْكِيرُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ.“
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a believer falls ill, Allah Almighty cleanses him of sins just as a furnace cleanses the impurities of iron."
