Hadith 466

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Harshness, wherever it is found, makes that thing ugly. Indeed, Allah Almighty is gentle and loves gentleness."

Explanation & Benefits

Benefits and Issues:
Harshness and roughness strip a person’s character of its beauty. People distance themselves from such a person, whereas a gentle-natured individual wins the hearts of others, and Allah Ta’ala also loves such a person.
