Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues: ➊ Expressing humility and modesty before Allah, and showing mercy and compassion to His servants—such that one does not consider oneself superior and others inferior—is called humility (tawadu‘). Likewise, the purpose of this humility should be the pleasure and approval of Allah, not any human weakness. ➋ Adhering to the commands of Allah, refraining from prohibited matters, and not following one’s desires is also humility (tawadu‘).
