Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, among the worst people in the sight of Allah will be the one who is two-faced, who comes to some people with one face and to others with another face."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues: This refers to a person who goes to two opposing parties and expresses loyalty to each of them, just as was the behavior of the hypocrites. Similarly, it also includes the person who sows discord among people and conveys their statements to one another. This leads to the strengthening of mutual enmity and turns society into a picture of Hell; therefore, the Shariah has strictly prohibited this. The statement of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is:
((Lā yadkhulu al-jannata nammām)) (Sahih Muslim, Al-Iman, Chapter: 45, Hadith Number: 168) “A tale-bearer will not enter Paradise.”
In another narration, it is stated that whoever has two faces in this world, on the Day of Resurrection he will have two tongues of fire. (Al-Sahihah by Al-Albani, Hadith: 892)
