Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues: ➊ Imam Ibn Rajab rahimahullah writes that, due to the abundance of differences in religious matters, malice and enmity among people have also intensified. Everyone claims that he harbors malice and enmity for the sake of Allah. Sometimes, the person doing so is genuinely excused, but most often, due to lack of knowledge, he is merely following his own desires. Therefore, one should strive as much as possible to avoid mutual malice, hostility, and enmity. (Jami‘ al-‘Ulum wa’l-Hikam: 2/265) ➋ Extreme enmity is referred to as "shahna’," in which the heart becomes filled with rancor and malice.
