Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
➊ The world is not something over which one should compete or exhaust oneself in its pursuit, but this is a disease of this ummah that has left Muslims with nothing. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “I do not fear poverty for you, but I fear that abundance of the world will be bestowed upon you, and you will begin to compete with one another over it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, al-Jizyah, Hadith: 3185)
➋ From this, it is understood that one should live as true brothers, assisting one another.
