It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No one is more patient over a hurtful thing he hears than Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. Verily, they claim that He has a child, yet He still grants them well-being and provides for them."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues: ➊ In one narration, Allah Almighty has said: "The son of Adam abuses Me and denies Me, and it does not befit him. His abusing Me is that he claims offspring for Me." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of the Beginning of Creation, Hadith: 3193) ➋ The meaning of the hadith is that Allah Almighty is extremely forbearing and patient, to the extent that He even deals gently with the disbelievers; despite their grave crimes, He does not hasten to take revenge from them, but rather forgives them, and furthermore, continues to provide them with sustenance. ➌ There is an indication in this that bearing harm and being patient over it is a highly commendable act, and not taking revenge is a most excellent quality. ➍ This is how Allah Almighty deals with His enemies, so how merciful must His treatment be with His beloved servants. ➎ From this, it is understood that the act which causes Allah Almighty the greatest pain from His servant is shirk (associating partners with Him), therefore it is necessary to avoid it under all circumstances.
