It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ya'la bin Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: We went out with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to a meal invitation, and on the way, Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) was playing. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) quickly went ahead of the people and stretched out both his hands. The child began to run here and there. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kept laughing with him until he caught him. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) placed one hand under his chin and the other on his head and embraced him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Husayn is from me and I am from Husayn. May Allah love the one who loves Husayn. Husayn is one of our children."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues: ➊ From this, it is understood that making children laugh and playing with them is permissible, rather, it is Sunnah. Similarly, it is also permissible to kiss them with affection and love and to embrace them. This is not contrary to dignity; rather, it is evidence of good character.
➋ This hadith shows the virtue of Husayn (radi Allahu anhu), that loving him is a means of attaining the love of Allah, the Exalted. It should be remembered that a person follows in the footsteps of the one he loves, makes his appearance like him, adopts his beliefs, and follows him in actions as well. Merely making a verbal claim and then living a life contrary to their way is not the act of a true lover, but of a deceiver and a trickster.
➌ Several meanings and interpretations of "sibṭ min al-asbāṭ" have been mentioned. One is the one we have stated in the translation, and it can also mean that Allah, the Exalted, will increase the progeny of Husayn, and a great number of people will be from his lineage. And indeed, this has happened. The children of a daughter are also called "sibṭ."
