حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَىٰ ، عَنْ عَبْدِالْمَلِكِ الْعَرْزَمِيِّ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُاللہِ مَوْلَي أَسْمَاءَ قَالَ: أَخْرَجَتْ إِلَيَّ أَسْمَاءُ جُبَّةً مِنْ طَيَالِسَةٍ عَلَيْهَا لَبِنَةُ شِبْرٍ مِنْ دِيْبَاجٍ ، وَإِنَّ فَرْجَيْهَا مَكْفُوْفَانِ بِهِ ، فَقَالَتْ : هٰذِه ِجُبَّةُ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَانَ يَلْبَسُهَا لِلْوُفُودِ ، وَيَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ.
It is narrated from Abdullah, the freed slave of Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her), that Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) brought out for me a cloak made of thick silk, which had a span's width of silk embroidery on the collar and silk on the slits as well. She said: This is the cloak of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), which he used to wear on the occasion of the arrival of delegations and on Fridays.
