Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues: Simplicity is a good thing, but this by no means implies that a person should not wear good and clean clothing or should maintain a frightening appearance. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was the greatest ascetic, yet he wore clean and tidy clothes. Especially when guests would come or when he would go to meet someone, he would wear fine clothing.
