It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever anything was asked from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he never said, "I will not give it."

Benefits and Issues:
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was free from the blameworthy trait of miserliness; rather, he was an example of sovereignty even in poverty. If something was not available at home, he would give by taking a loan or would promise to give when it became available in the future. He would not respond with a negative answer.
