Hadith 269

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to mingle with us so much that he would say to my little brother: "O Abu Umair! What has your bird done?"

➌ It is permissible to keep birds and the like, and for children to play with them, but it is necessary to take care of their food and drink and not to cause them harm.
