Hadith 233

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الأَشْجَعِيِّ، عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ‏:‏ قَالَ نَبِيُّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏ ”كُلُّ مَعْرُوفٍ صَدَقَةٌ‏.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) that your Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Every good deed is charity."

Benefits and Issues:
Hudhayfah radi Allahu anhu said "your Prophet" so that the people would listen attentively to the words of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and then act accordingly. Furthermore, so that they would not consider any good deed insignificant.
