It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Thabit, may Allah be pleased with him, that when something was brought to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he would say: "Take this to such-and-such woman because she was a friend of Khadijah; take this to the house of such-and-such woman because she loved Khadijah."

Benefits and Issues: ➊ In this hadith, friendship is mentioned, and forming friendships for the sake of Allah’s pleasure is also a virtuous deed. Valuing friendship and expressing good sentiments are also included within kind speech (qawl ma‘ruf). ➋ From this hadith, it is also evident that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) had great love for Sayyidah Khadijah (radi Allahu anha), as he loved her immensely, to the extent that even after her passing, he continued to honor her and maintained ties of kinship with her friends.
