Benefits and Issues:
The point is that the person who does not show gratitude to people for their favors—even though those favors are very minor and few—how will he be able to show gratitude for the countless favors of Allah, the Exalted? Whoever is incapable of doing a small thing, how can he accomplish something great?
The second meaning is that Allah, the Exalted, has established ranks among people in this world and has granted His blessings to His servants through one another. So, the person who does not value this means, how can he become grateful to the True Bestower (Allah)? In other words, the one who does not thank people for their favors—while they desire that their gratitude be expressed and their praise be acknowledged—how will he show gratitude to the Creator, Who is free of all needs and is not concerned with anyone?
