Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
The point is that it is not necessary to have every task done by a servant. A person is not deprived (of reward) by doing work for himself. Therefore, assisting servants and others is also an act of virtue, even if it is one’s own task, as has been mentioned in Hadith number 189. Secondly, it is understood from this that if a person, along with employment or serving others, also obeys Allah, or serves in a matter of obedience to Allah, then this too is a meritorious act.
