بَابُ هَلْ يُعِينُ عَبْدَهُ؟Chapter: Should One Help His Slave?
Hadith 190
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَلاَّمَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”أَرِقَّاكُمْ إِخْوَانُكُمْ، فَأَحْسِنُوا إِلَيْهِمْ، اسْتَعِينُوهُمْ عَلَى مَا غَلَبَكُمْ، وَأَعِينُوهُمْ عَلَى مَا غُلِبُوا.“
It is narrated from a companion of the Prophet (ﷺ) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Your slaves are your brothers, so treat them well. Seek their help in tasks you cannot do, and help them in tasks they cannot do."
