Hadith 161

It is narrated from Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) that a man ordered his slave to bring water on his camel, but the slave fell asleep (and did not bring the water). So the man brought a flame of fire and put it on the slave’s face. The slave (in panic, ran and) fell into a well. When morning came, he went to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) (and explained the situation). When Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw his face, he set him free.
