It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The ungrateful one is he who withholds his gifts, camps separately during (a journey), and beats his slave.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
The point is that he does not give from the wealth granted by Allah to his relatives and the needy, but rather hoards his wealth as if it will always remain with him. Even when traveling—when people are in dire need of each other's cooperation—he camps separately so that he does not have to share his food with anyone, or he does so out of pride and arrogance. Shaykh al-Albani rahimahullah has declared this narration to be weak. (Al-Da‘ifah, Hadith: 5833)
