Hadith 155

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whom do you call a strong man (wrestler)?" The companions replied: The one whom no one else can overpower. He (peace be upon him) said: "No, the true strong man is the one who controls himself at the time of anger."

Benefits and Issues:
A person’s greatness and nobility lie in acting with forbearance and patience. At the time of anger, he should keep his senses under control. A person who becomes furious in anger can never attain a high status in society. This is because what kind of bravery is it if one cannot control oneself? In other words, a person who restrains his anger saves himself from many mishaps and lives an honorable life, whereas one who loses self-control brings disgrace upon himself at every step, and even if someone respects him, it is only to protect themselves from his harm. Therefore, how can such a person be called a champion or brave?
