It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) that I was once with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "O Umm Sulaym! If any Muslim husband and wife lose three children, Allah will surely admit their parents to Paradise out of His grace and mercy upon those children." I asked: "And (will) two children (also be a cause for entering Paradise)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The same ruling applies for two children."
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
The cause for entering Paradise will be those children who passed away before reaching the age of puberty, as is explicitly mentioned in the following hadith. In one narration, it is stated that those children will be at the gates of Paradise. They will be told, "Enter Paradise," but they will say, "We will not enter Paradise until our parents arrive." Then it will be said to them, "By the grace and mercy of Allah, you and your parents may enter Paradise."
