Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! We cannot come to your service, so please appoint a day for us in which we may come to you. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Your appointment is at the house of so-and-so." So, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to them as promised and in the admonition he gave them, he also said: "If any woman among you has three children die and she hopes for reward for them, she will certainly enter Paradise." A woman asked: And two children? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The same is for two." The narrator of the hadith, Suhail bin Abi Salih, was very strict in writing down hadith, and used to say: Remember it. No one could write a hadith in his presence.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
➊ Children, especially innocent ones, are very dear to their mothers, and due to the tenderness of their hearts, most mothers become distraught at the death of their children. Therefore, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) encouraged patience, and the way to do so is to hope for reward from Allah, the Exalted.
➋ Although in this narration glad tidings are given to women, men also receive the same reward for being patient and hoping for reward. Due to the generally lesser resolve of women, they have been mentioned specifically.
➌ The pious predecessors (salaf salihin) relied more on memory than on writing. When one becomes accustomed to writing, one pays less attention to memorization, and thus the memory becomes weaker. Especially in the context of teaching and learning, there is a greater need to understand and internalize rather than to write. For this reason, Suhayl ibn Abi Salih used to prohibit his students from writing. This does not mean that he considered writing hadith to be impermissible.
➍ From this, it is understood that women can also participate in religious programs, and indeed, it is necessary for them to learn religious rulings. However, there should also be special arrangements for their lessons.
