It is narrated from Sayyiduna Marrah bin Amr Fihri, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I and the one who takes care of an orphan will be in Paradise like this (like the finger of shahada and the one next to it) or like this and this finger (side by side)." Sufyan was uncertain whether the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, indicated with the middle finger and the one next to the thumb (as to which fingers he pointed with).

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues: A minor child who is deprived of his father, or of both his mother and father, and who is unable to fulfill his own needs and is unaware of his own best interests, is called an orphan (yateem). If the orphan is poor, then supporting him from his own wealth, and if he is wealthy, then safeguarding his wealth and taking care of his needs, is a cause for the mentioned reward: that on the Day of Resurrection, he will be granted the companionship of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. However, there will certainly be a difference in ranks, as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam will be at the highest station.
This is the best way to attain the companionship of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and there is nothing greater than his companionship. (Ibn Battal) Therefore, every Muslim should consciously strive to attain this.
If a woman supports her own children who are deprived of their father, she too can certainly be deserving of this reward. Similarly, whether the orphan is a relative or a stranger, in both cases the mentioned reward applies.
