It is narrated from the noble wife of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who says: A woman came to me with her two daughters. She asked me (for something), but I had only one date, which I gave to her. She divided it between her two daughters and then got up and left. The Prophet (peace be upon him) came, so I related this incident to him. He (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever is put in charge of daughters and treats them well, they will be a barrier for him from the Fire."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues: ➊ The meaning is that whoever Allah, the Exalted, has granted daughters, and he arranges for their education and upbringing, and continues to show them love, affection, and good treatment, then on the Day of Resurrection this deed will be a means of protection for him from the Fire. In one narration, it is stated that whoever raises two daughters will be with me in Paradise. (Al-Adab Al-Mufrad, Hadith: 133) ➋ In the chapter established by Imam Bukhari rahimahullah, the mention is of an orphan, whereas in the hadith or its chains there is no mention of an orphan. Perhaps the author’s inclination is that these girls were orphans, or the purpose is that whoever treats orphans in such a good manner is even more deserving of this reward. (For further details, see the benefits of Hadith: 89)
