Hadith 1316

حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ‏:‏ سَمِعْتُ رِبْعِيَّ بْنَ حِرَاشٍ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ‏:‏ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ‏: ”إِنَّ مِمَّا أَدْرَكَ النَّاسَ مِنْ كَلاَمِ النُّبُوَّةِ الأُولَى‏:‏ إِذَا لَمْ تَسْتَحْيِ فَاصْنَعْ مَا شِئْتَ‏.‏“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “From the words of the first Prophethood that people have received is this: If you feel no shame, then do whatever you wish.”
