Hadith 1310

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Whoever is two-faced (deceitful) in this world will have two tongues made of fire on the Day of Resurrection." Then a heavyset man passed by, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "He is one of them."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
This refers to the tale-bearer who kindles the fire of discord between two opposing parties. He convinces each one that he is their well-wisher. In this way, by playing a hypocritical role, he destroys his Hereafter. On the Day of Resurrection, his tongue will become doubled and made of fire, and he will continue to burn in its heat.
