It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him) that I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) distributing meat at the place of Ji‘ranah while I was a young boy at that time. I was picking up pieces of camel meat when a woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so he spread his cloak for her. I asked: Who is she? It was said: She is the mother who nursed the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
The chain of narration of this report is weak; however, maintaining regard for previous relationships and honoring covenants is a Sunnah practice. Whenever the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would prepare good food, he would also send some to the friends of Sayyidah Khadijah (radi Allahu anha).
