كتابBook of Death by Divine Decree
بَابُ إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ قَبْضَ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ بِهَا حَاجَةًIf Allah wills to take a servant, He makes him need that land
Hadith 1282
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ، وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ قَبْضَ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ بِهَا حَاجَةً.“
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Azza Yasar bin Abd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty intends for a servant to die in a certain land, He creates for him some work there."

Benefits and Issues:
No human being knows where he will die. Allah’s decree takes him to the place where his death has been written. No one except Allah knows the time and place of death. The statement of Allah, the Exalted, is:
﴿وَ مَا تَدْرِیْ نَفْسٌ بِاَیِّ اَرْضٍ تَمُوْتُ﴾ ()
“And no soul knows in which land it will die.”
No human being knows where he will die. Allah’s decree takes him to the place where his death has been written. No one except Allah knows the time and place of death. The statement of Allah, the Exalted, is:
