Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
➊ The meaning of these hadiths is that whoever fights against Muslims without any valid reason or without any (legitimate) interpretation, and raises weapons against them, has no connection with us. Likewise, whoever rebels against the government of the Muslims has no connection with us. Similarly, whoever frightens a Muslim or terrifies Muslims at night by firing (weapons), he too has no connection with the Muslims.
➋ The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) has prohibited even pointing a weapon at a Muslim in jest, lest Satan causes that weapon to be used (accidentally), and thus he falls into the pit of Hell. (Sahih al-Bukhari: 7072)
➌ Whoever considers the unlawful killing of a Muslim to be permissible and lawful is outside the fold of Islam.
