Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to complain about the wrongdoings of his neighbor. He was sitting between the Rukn and Maqam when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived. That man saw that you (peace and blessings be upon him) were standing near the Maqam in front of a man dressed in white, at the place where (in those days) funeral prayers were performed. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) moved forward, the man said: O Messenger of Allah! May my parents be sacrificed for you. Who was that man dressed in white whom I saw standing before you? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Did you see him?" He replied: Yes! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have seen much good. He was Jibreel (Gabriel), the messenger of my Lord. He kept advising me about the neighbor so much that I feared he would make him an heir."
