It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) lay down on his bed, he would recite: "O Allah! Lord of the heavens and the earth, Owner of all things, Splitter of the grain and the date-stone, Revealer of the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur'an. I seek refuge in You from the evil of every creature whose forelock is in Your hand. You are the First, there is nothing before You, and You are the Last, there is nothing after You. You are the Most High, there is nothing above You. You are the Most Near, there is nothing beyond You. Settle my debt for me and enrich me, relieving me from poverty."

Explanation & Benefits

Benefits and Issues: You are the Manifest; there is nothing above You. The meaning is that in being manifest, there is nothing above You. None is more manifest than You. You are the Hidden; there is nothing beyond You, meaning none is more hidden and concealed than You. Allah is manifest in that His countless creations indicate Him. However, Allah, in terms of His Essence, is hidden; it is not possible to see Him with the eyes of this world.
