It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would certainly recite Surah Sajdah and Surah Mulk before sleeping. Abu Zubair says that these two surahs have seventy more virtues than every other surah of the Noble Qur'an; whoever recites both of them will have the reward of seventy good deeds written for him, his seventy ranks will be elevated, and seventy of his sins will be erased through them.

Benefits and Issues: In some narrations, after Surah al-Fatihah, Surah al-Baqarah has been declared superior. The meaning of this is that, in an absolute sense, Surah al-Baqarah is superior; however, certain characteristics of other surahs are superior. The meaning of superiority is that the reward of some surahs is greater than that of other surahs.
