It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever makes an image, he will be forced on the Day of Resurrection to breathe a soul into it, and he will be punished, and he will not be able to breathe a soul into it. And whoever fabricates a false dream will be forced to tie two grains of barley together, and he will be punished, and he will never be able to tie them together. And whoever tries to listen to the conversation of people who are avoiding him, that is, do not want him to listen, molten lead will be poured into his ears."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues: ➊ Making images and having them made is forbidden (haram). What is meant here are images of living beings. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has pronounced a severe warning for those who make images. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid this as much as possible.
➋ If a person is speaking in secret and someone eavesdrops on him, it is a major sin (kabirah). However, if the conversation is taking place in a public gathering, or if one happens to overhear it incidentally, or if espionage is intended for the benefit of the country, then it will be permissible. Similarly, there is a severe warning for fabricating a false dream.
