Hadith 114

(Through another chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Abu Dharr! When you cook broth, add more water to it, and take care of your neighbors," or he said: "Distribute it among your neighbors as well."

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Maulana Usman Muneeb
Benefits and Issues:
The point is that when you prepare meat or other fine food, then also send some to your neighbors and give them special consideration. The instruction to add more water does not mean that the stew should be spoiled.
