حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ مُهَاجِرٍ هُوَ الصَّائِغُ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَجْلِسُ إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَخْمٍ مِنَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّينَ، فَكَانَ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ: كَيْفَ أَصْبَحْتَ؟ قَالَ: لا نُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ.
It is narrated from Muhajir (may Allah have mercy on him) that I used to sit with a heavily built Hadhrami companion from among the companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him). When he was asked, "In what condition did you wake up?" he would reply: "We do not associate partners with Allah."
