بَابُ: كَيْفَ يُجِيبُ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُ: كَيْفَ أَصْبَحْتَ؟Chapter: How to reply if asked "How are you this morning?"
Hadith 1133
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ الْمَكِّيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ: قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كَيْفَ أَصْبَحْتَ؟ قَالَ: ”بِخَيْرٍ مِنْ قَوْمٍ لَمْ يَشْهَدُوا جَنَازَةً، وَلَمْ يَعُودُوا مَرِيضًا.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that it was said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "How did you begin your morning?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: "I began the morning in goodness; I am among those who neither attended any funeral nor visited any sick person."
