بَابُ مَنْ سَلَّمَ إِشَارَةًChapter: Greeting by gesture
Hadith 1004
حَدَّثَنَا خَلادٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ قَالَ: كَانُوا يَكْرَهُونَ التَّسْلِيمَ بِالْيَدِ، أَوْ قَالَ: كَانَ يَكْرَهُ التَّسْلِيمَ بِالْيَدِ.
It is narrated from Ata bin Abi Rabah (may Allah have mercy on him), he says that he disliked greeting with a hand gesture. Or he said: Greeting with a hand gesture was disliked.
