بَابُ الرَّحْمَةُ مِئَةُ جُزْءٍChapter: Mercy is One Hundred Parts
Hadith 100
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الرَّحْمَةَ مِئَةَ جُزْءٍ، فَأَمْسَكَ عِنْدَهُ تِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ، وَأَنْزَلَ فِي الأَرْضِ جُزْءًا وَاحِدًا، فَمِنْ ذَلِكَ الْجُزْءِ يَتَرَاحَمُ الْخَلْقُ، حَتَّى تَرْفَعَ الْفَرَسُ حَافِرَهَا عَنْ وَلَدِهَا، خَشْيَةَ أَنْ تُصِيبَهُ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, divided mercy into one hundred parts. He kept ninety-nine parts with Himself and sent down one part to the earth. It is from this one part that the creation shows mercy to one another, so much so that a mare lifts its hoof away from its young lest it should harm it."
