Prescribed Punishments (Kitab Al-Hudud)
باب الْحُكْمِ فِيمَنِ ارْتَدَّ
Chapter: Ruling on one who apostatizes.
2باب الْحُكْمِ فِيمَنْ سَبَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
Chapter: The ruling regarding one who reviles the prophet (pbuh).
3باب مَا جَاءَ فِي الْمُحَارِبَةِ
Chapter: What has been reported concerning Al-Muharibah.
4باب فِي الْحَدِّ يُشْفَعُ فِيهِ
Chapter: Regarding interceding about a legal punishment.
5باب الْعَفْوِ عَنِ الْحُدُودِ، مَا لَمْ تَبْلُغِ السُّلْطَانَ
Chapter: Pardoning in cases of hadd (punishment) that do not reach the sultan.
6باب فِي السَّتْرِ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْحُدُودِ
Chapter: Concealing those who have committed deeds for which had punishments are prescribed.
7باب فِي صَاحِبِ الْحَدِّ يَجِيءُ فَيُقِرُّ
Chapter: Regarding one deserving of the punishment coming to confess.
8باب فِي التَّلْقِينِ فِي الْحَدِّ
Chapter: Prompting with regard to hadd.
9باب فِي الرَّجُلِ يَعْتَرِفُ بِحَدٍّ وَلاَ يُسَمِّيهِ
Chapter: Regarding the case of a man who admits he committed a punishable offense, but does not specify what it was.
10باب فِي الاِمْتِحَانِ بِالضَّرْبِ
Chapter: Testing by means of beating.
11باب مَا يُقْطَعُ فِيهِ السَّارِقُ
Chapter: For what the hand of a thief is to be cut off.
12باب مَا لاَ قَطْعَ فِيهِ
Chapter: For what the thief’s hand is not to be cut off.
13باب الْقَطْعِ فِي الْخُلْسَةِ وَالْخِيَانَةِ
Chapter: Cutting off the hand for snatching and treachery.
14باب مَنْ سَرَقَ مِنْ حِرْزٍ
Chapter: One who steals a thing from a place where it is protected.
15باب فِي الْقَطْعِ فِي الْعَارِيَةِ إِذَا جُحِدَتْ
Chapter: Cutting off the hand for a loan if he denies borrowing it.
16باب فِي الْمَجْنُونِ يَسْرِقُ أَوْ يُصِيبُ حَدًّا
Chapter: If an insane person steals or commits a crime that is subject to a had.
17باب فِي الْغُلاَمِ يُصِيبُ الْحَدَّ
Chapter: A child who commits a crime that is subject to a had (punishment).
18باب السَّارِقِ يَسْرِقُ فِي الْغَزْوِ أَيُقْطَعُ
Chapter: The thief who steals during a military expedition - should his hand be cut off.
19باب فِي قَطْعِ النَّبَّاشِ
Chapter: Cutting off the hand of a grave-robber.
20باب فِي السَّارِقِ يَسْرِقُ مِرَارًا
Chapter: The thief who steals repeatedly.
21باب فِي السَّارِقِ تُعَلَّقُ يَدُهُ فِي عُنُقِهِ
Chapter: Hanging the thief’s hand around his neck.
22باب بَيْعِ الْمَمْلُوكِ إِذَا سَرَقَ
Chapter: Selling a slave if he steals.
23باب فِي الرَّجْمِ
Chapter: Stoning.
24باب رَجْمِ مَاعِزِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
Chapter: Stoning of Ma’iz bin Malik.
25باب الْمَرْأَةِ الَّتِي أَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِرَجْمِهَا مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ
Chapter: Regarding the woman of Juhainah whom the prophet (pbuh) ordered to be stoned.
26باب فِي رَجْمِ الْيَهُودِيَّيْنِ
Chapter: The stoning of the two jews.
27باب فِي الرَّجُلِ يَزْنِي بِحَرِيمِهِ
Chapter: A man who commits zina with a mahram relative.
28باب فِي الرَّجُلِ يَزْنِي بِجَارِيَةِ امْرَأَتِهِ
Chapter: A man who commits zina with his wife’s slave woman.
29باب فِيمَنْ عَمِلَ عَمَلَ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ
Chapter: One who does the action of the people of Lut.
30باب فِيمَنْ أَتَى بَهِيمَةً
Chapter: One who has intercourse with an animal.
31باب إِذَا أَقَرَّ الرَّجُلُ بِالزِّنَا وَلَمْ تُقِرَّ الْمَرْأَةُ
Chapter: If the man confess to zina but the woman does not.
32باب فِي الرَّجُلِ يُصِيبُ مِنَ الْمَرْأَةِ دُونَ الْجِمَاعِ فَيَتُوبُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْخُذَهُ الإِمَامُ
Chapter: A man who does something less than intercourse with a woman, and repents before he is arrested by the imam..
33باب فِي الأَمَةِ تَزْنِي وَلَمْ تُحْصَنْ
Chapter: A slave girl commits zina and has not been married.
34باب فِي إِقَامَةِ الْحَدِّ عَلَى الْمَرِيضِ
Chapter: Carrying out hadd (punishment) on a man who is sick.
35باب فِي حَدِّ الْقَذْفِ
Chapter: Regarding the hadd (punishment) for the slanderer.
36باب الْحَدِّ فِي الْخَمْرِ
Chapter: Regarding the hadd (punishment) for drinking khamr.
37باب إِذَا تَتَابَعَ فِي شُرْبِ الْخَمْرِ
Chapter: One who drinks khamr repeatedly.
38باب فِي إِقَامَةِ الْحَدِّ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ
Chapter: Carrying out had (punishment) in the masjid.
39باب فِي التَّعْزِيرِ
Chapter: Ta’zir (punishment).
40باب فِي ضَرْبِ الْوَجْهِ فِي الْحَدِّ
Chapter: Striking the face in hadd (punishment).
