Hadith 868

Abdullah (bin Masud) said: When any of you bows, he should spread his arms on his thighs and clap both his palms (Placing them between the knees), as if I am seeing the variation of the fingers of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

Brief Explanation
1؎: Interlacing the fingers of one hand with the fingers of the other hand and placing them between both thighs is called "tatbeeq." This ruling was in effect at the beginning of Islam, then it was abrogated. It is possible that Abdullah ibn Mas'ud radi Allahu anhu was not aware of its abrogation.
