Commentary:
(1)
The time for the Zuhr prayer begins from the declining of the sun, as is established by the noble verse: ﴿اَقِمِ الصَّلٰوةَ لِدُلُوْكِ الشَّمْسِ﴾ (: Bani Isra'il 17:78) — "Establish the prayer at the declining of the sun." This is what is proven from it.
(2)
The practice of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was to perform the prayer at its earliest time.
