Hadith 675

This tradition has also been transmitted by Abdullah (bin Masud) through a different chain of narrators. This version adds: “Do not be irregular, so have your hearts irregular, and beware of tumult such as found in market”.

675. Commentary:
Muslims should always maintain dignity and keep their voices low, and this should be observed even more strictly in mosques. Especially in some places where students reside in mosques for the purpose of study and teaching, it is the right of both the residents and the worshippers who come to the mosque that these matters be taken into consideration.
