Hadith 569

Aishah (Allah be pleased with her), wife of the prophet ﷺ, said ; if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had seen what the women have invented, he would have prevented them from visiting the mosque (for praying), as the women of the children of the Israel were prevented. Yahya (the narrator) said; I asked ‘Umrah ; were the women of Israel prevented? She said: yes.

569. Commentary:
Although the actual situation in our present era is extremely deplorable, the statement of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and the law of Allah alone are decisive. If it were permissible to prevent women from the mosques due to their misdeeds, then it would be even more appropriate to prevent them from markets or other places. However, the correct view is that they should go out while observing proper covering (hijab), not wearing perfume, not striking their feet while walking, and not wearing jewelry that makes noise, etc.
